How Order Management System (OMS) helps PhD Students, postdocs and lab Managers in Research Labs.
Step 1: Create & Submit Order
Researchers, PhD students, Lab staff enter order details by selecting the unique combination of company, article, and catalogue number. Orders are organized by category. Items can be saved for later or submitted directly.
Step 2: Select Source of funds
Admins reviews create 3 tiers project accounts and add total funds.
Step 3: Review & Approve
Admin, Group leader or PI reviews pending orders. Select the funding source to auto approve orders. Also can simply be marked as on hold or even rejected.
Step 4: Print order sheets
Approved orders are marked as printed and sent to central purchasing department.
Step 5: Track, Print & Deliver
- Delivery status is marked.
- All users can track status of orders
- Delivery locations (temperature, room, shelf or rack)
- Expiry Dates by QR/Data Matrix codes, lot numbers etc.
