Dilution Calculator

Calculate the dilution required to prepare a stock solution

The LabInFlow dilution calculator is a tool which allows you to calculate how to dilute a stock solution of known concentration. Enter C₁, C₂ & V₂ to calculate V₁.

Looking instead for a serial dilution calculator that creates accurate dilution tables and protocols? Try our dedicated serial dilution calculator tool.

C₁ × V₁ = C₂ × V₂

Example Calculation
What volume of a given 10 mM stock solution is required to make 20 mL of a 50 μM solution?
Solution:
Enter C₁ = 10 (unit: millimolar), C₂ = 50 (unit: micromolar), V₂ = 20 (unit: milliliter). Leave V₁ blank and click Calculate.
The calculator will show V₁ = 100 μL (0.1 mL).
